They Made It

I like being a Mother Hen.
Aaron and Meg made it in very early Wednesday morning. They plan to spend most of the summer here before heading back to GR for their wedding in August. Gerrit and I are looking forward to getting a lot of work out of Aaron and Meg hopes to find a job somewhere in Harrison. She has already been leaving her resume all over town.
It has been crazy busy since they have arrived. Our new pastor was here over the weekend. He also stayed with us and on Sunday we had 20 people over for dinner and the afternoon. It was a great afternoon with new friends. Thanks Meg for helping out on Saturday with all the cleaning, baking and cooking.

We needed a break

Today was just a gorgeous day. The sun was shining which is quite an accomplishment this spring. The wind was not blowing another storm in and the temperature was perfect. I was having a trying day and my blood pressure was actual rising. So my dear sweet husband decided we would just jump on the bike and get away from it all for awhile. It was great. We head down Hwy 7 and Hwy 43 to some of the curviest and hilliest roads in Arkansas and just cruised to our hearts content. We stopped at a little cafe for a late lunch and then again later for a Hot Fudge Sundae. We have head sets in our helmets so we could talk all along the way and we did. For some reason we always do our best talking on either the bike or the boat. By the time we made it back home I was laughing again and all was right with the world. It is nice to have toys to play with when the grown up world gets to be too much.

I Love You!

Mom's smiles can brighten any moment,
Mom's hugs put joy in all our days,
Mom's love will stay with us foreverand touch our lives in precious ways...
The values you've taught,

the care you've given,
and the wonderful love you've shown,
have enriched my life in more ways than I can count.
I Love you Mom!

Poking Through...

The garden is doing great. The row of green beans and the row of peas are all peeking up through the soil and looking very cute. Also a few of the brave pumpkins have shown themselves. All of the plants, like tomatoes, green and red peppers and the many varieties of squash things, are all still alive and well. But we have had plenty of rain and lots of nice warm temps so that makes this all pretty easy for now.
We are back in the apartments. We took a few days of to make product for the two craft shows that we have coming up in the first two weeks of May. We hope to get a lot done at Parkview tomorrow and then we will have to take the next two weeks off for the shows. This is the first time ever that I am not all that excited about the shows starting. Must be cuz I really am having fun with the apartments. I never dreamed that when we bought them. The only thing that gets to me is how much time it takes and the tenants in Unit F. They are going to be looking for new housing as soon as we get caught up with the units we are working on and are ready to start on theirs.
